What days the event is held?
The event will be held 05, 06 and 07 December 2024.
When and where can I register?
On-line at lanzaroteinternationalmarathon.com. The deadline for registration will be on December 1, 2024.
Who can register?
The minimum requirement for participation in the event is to be 18 years old the day of the race. For the 10k race is 16 years with permission from parents or guardians.
What I have to do to register?
You can register 24h Enter the race.
How I can know if I am registered?
Check the participants list.
What if once registered I can not participate due to injury or other reasons?
Registration is not refundable.
Can I change the distance?
Yes. Send your request to info@sandsbeachactive.com as soon as possible. If running numbers are in production, change distance is not allowed. If you change to a higher, you must pay the difference.
Where do I pick up my bag the runner, bin number, chip, etc.?
You can collect your bib number at the Expo located in the finish area on Avenida Islas Canarias 18, Costa Teguise. It will be obligatory to present ID for the bib number pick up. Failure to do so personally, a photocopy of the registered participant along with a removal authorisation must be presented. It is also recommended to carry proof of registration which can facilitate the process and help solve any incidents quickly. Also if you applied for your resident discount you will be asked to show proof of residency.
What will I find inside the bag?
You find your bib number, event information and some gifts from our collaborators.
How can I get to the Starting Line?
Marathon Distance
The start line is in front of the Sands Beach Resort in Costa Tegise. It is the responsibility of each athlete to procure the transportation needed to be at the Starting Line at the right time, under the command of the organization and the marshalls.
Half Marathon Distance
The organization will organize shuttle from the Expo located at Avenida Islas Canarias 18, Costa Teguise, to the Starting Line of the Half Marathon, situated on Avenida de las Playas, Puerto del Carmen. You book your transfer prior the event.
10km Distance
The organization will organize shuttle from the Expo located at Avenida Islas Canarias 18, Costa Teguise, to the Starting Line of the 10 Km distance, situated on Rumbla Medular close to Ferreteria Tias en Arrecife. check the Course section for exactg location. You book your transfer prior the event.
Where I can leave my things during the event?
There will be a wardrobe at the Runners Area available for all participants. During the race number collection, all runners will receive a bag to put all your belongings on the day of the event and subsequent deposit in the cloakroom. Along with this bag you will get some stickers with your race number, which should hit the front of the bag. Please check the sticker number matches your back, otherwise, please report to the organisation. At the Starting Line for Half Marathon and 10Km distances, there will be organisation vehicles that will have collected your belongings and deposited in the Runner Area during the race. This vehicles only accept official organisation bags, not being accepted personal bags, suitcases or other luggage.

Is the course signed and closed to traffic?
The course is clearly signposted with markers every km. It is also partially closed to traffic. There are areas of the course that are open to the public, so you should watch out for pedestrians.
Is there aid stations during the race?
There are two kind of aid stations during the course.
Refreshment stalls: Water.
Aid station (water, isotonic, fruit, solid).
Every station is ~2,5km distance each other.
Does the course is approved by a federation?
No. We are doing our best to get it.
Is there a medical service?
Medical Service is available always. The official doctor is in the Finish Area, besides he is in contact by radio with aid stations and strategic points of assistance.
Can I walk during the race?
Yes.
Is there a time limit?
Yes. The time limit is six hours for marathon distance, three hours and thirty minutes for the half marathon distance, two hours for the 10 kilometres. Once past that limit, you must leave the race. The organisation has a car broom to assist those who exceed this limit.
Can I run with my pet or baby carriage?
No. Due to health and safety reasons, pets and baby carriage are not allowed.

How far is the hotel Sands Beach Resort the Starting Line?
The Starting Line of the marathon is in front of the reception Sand Beach Resort. For Starting Line of the Half Marathon and 10km shuttle bus will be located a few meters from the hotel reception to get you to the exits. You can view other hotels own website partners of the event.
Do all participants receive medals?
Yes, all participants from all distances crossing the finish line receive a finisher medal.
